I was asked in a writing class, What do you want to see more of in poetry?

My answer:

Raw, genuine, unedited heart-wrenching stuff.

stuff that wasn't edited necessarily

but straight from the heart

gut-wrench

a tool to process the world

My teacher responded, "Your answer is what you should be producing."
